Baby hair growth stages ; newborn baby hair growth does not only begin after birth; but while your baby is still in the womb as well. However babies are often born with hair . Which gradually falls off in most cases. Thus within the first 6 months of their lives outside the womb . With it gradually starting to grow back in its place after those 6 months .
Hair growth in the womb:
Firstly, during pregnancy, thus your first stage of your baby’s hair growth. In this stage, your baby will be developing new hair roots and hair follicles. These hair follicles at formed on your baby’s scalp. In a systematic pattern that will remain for life. And these new follicles do not form after birth. But only in the womb. So please bare in mind that babies are born with all the hair follicles they will ever have. Hair around the baby’s body; Not only is your baby born with hair on his head , but also around other parts of his body as well . This body hair is known as “lanugo” . This hair will either fall off or grow thinner as your baby grows older. This is at around 22 weeks of pregnancy. Lanugo covers the entire body, and most of it is usually lost before birth.
Meanwhile, the hair on your baby’s head will also become visible around this time. In addition, some babies grow a lot of hair whilst they are still in the womb . While others have barely any when they are born. But, do not worry because, the roots of her future hair have already been planted.
Newborn baby hair growth from 1 day to 3 months:
Secondly, like I mentioned above, if your baby is born with hair or not ; it is however normal in both cases. Likewise, If your baby comes without hair . It simply means that your baby’s hair is in a resting phase. And, without doubt, your baby’s hair will begin to grow ; when their body has sourced the required amounts of resources required for new baby growth.
The growth rate will vary from baby to baby according genetics. However, in some babies ,hair follicles will begin to come through; from the first day up until they reach their third month of age.
Baby hair growth; from 3 to 6 months.
Thirdly, unfortunately this phase is always the worst phase for me . As I don’t enjoy witnessing my baby’s hair falling off or breaking. However, from the age of three to six months your baby’s hair will begin to fall out . In some babies it will be severe while in others there will be very little falling. Baby hair growth from 6 months going up.
Finally, In the fourth baby hair growth stage ; thus from six months going up. You will notice that your baby’s hair will start to regrow. Your baby will have new hair growth. In addition to this, when your newborn baby’s hair comes. You will have to maintain and take care of it ; so that it grows fast and healthy .
